Parents Of Florida OnlyFans Model Accused Of Killing Her Boyfriend Are Also Arrested

The parents of a social media model who has been charged with murdering her boyfriend have now been arrested. The OnlyFans model, Courtney Clenney, is awaiting trial and has been in custody since August 2022. On April 3, 2022, Courtney Clenney allegedly stabbed her boyfriend, Christian Toby Obumseli, to death in the condo they shared.

Now, her parents, Kim and Deborah Clenney, have been arrested for allegedly tampering with evidence. They were arrested on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. A Miami news outlet, Local 10 News, reported that Courtney Clenney's father found an item that could've been evidence at the couple's condo, but he didn't give the item to police right away.

According to the outlet, Courtney Clenny's dad, Kim Clenney, reportedly found Obumseli's laptop in the condo and instead of giving it to the police, attempted to use it.

Authorities obtained access to text conversations between Deborah Clenney, Kim Clenney, and Courtney Clenney's attorneys. The group talked about possible passwords that could be used to access Obumseli's laptop, Local 10 News reported.

The legal team for Obumseli's family released a statement, as per CBS:

“The Obumseli family is saddened to hear the reports that Courtney’s parents illegally took possession of Christian’s laptop. This is yet another disturbing reminder of the horrible crimes committed against their family. We support the State Attorney’s Office’s thorough investigation into Christian’s murder and continue to seek justice through the criminal and civil justice system.”

Courtney Clenney's attorney also released a statement, calling the arrest of her parents something that "could be an example of prosecutorial overreach and misconduct."

"It appears excessive in that the family is now confined in jail awaiting an extradition hearing on what may be an attempt to manipulate media headlines and discredit them before Thursday’s scheduled hearing on a gag order in the case … We believe the Clenney family has been targeted with some trumped up charges to discredit them in the press and make their lives miserable," the statement read.

Courtney Clenney's attorneys argue that she stabbed her boyfriend in self-defense. Obumseli’s family says that Obumseli was in an abusive relationship that resulted in him being stabbed to death. Prosecutors called their relationship an "extremely tempestuous and combative relationship," NBC Miami reported.

The attorneys representing Obumseli's family released a video earlier this month that shows Courtney Clenney repeatedly hitting Obumseli. In the video, she also yells at him and accuses him of cheating. Obumseli, who was 27, was found dead a few weeks later.

Other videos show Courtney Clenney attacking Obumseli and one video shows her calling him a racial slur. In November 2022, NBC Miami reported that Courtney Clenney was arrested and charged with domestic battery in 2021 after admitting to officers that she threw a glass at Obumseli.

Kim Wald, an attorney representing Obumseli's family, spoke about the video evidence, as per NBC6.

"What this shows is, that this wasn't self-defense, it wasn't self-defense on the date of this video and it wasn't self-defense on the date of the murder," Wald told the outlet. "There was this history and this domestic violence and this domestic abuse against Christian."
