Paul Hunt somehow managed to combine comedy and Olympic-level gymnastics into one of the funniest — and most memorable — performances in the history of the sport.
While most people in the sport approach gymnastics with the utmost focus and seriousness, Hunt decided he'd be better off making people laugh instead!
An incredibly gifted gymnastics talent himself, Hunt worked his way up in the gymnastics world until in 1972 he became the National Champion. He eventually became a gymnastics coach and worked his way up to the Olympic level.
It was while teaching some future Olympic stars that he was suddenly struck with the idea of "Paulette Huntsinova." While watching some of the common mistakes that young gymnasts made, he thought it would be funny to dress up as a female gymnast and perform a comedic routine.
Whether it be his famous "bar routine" or his tumbling dance in the video below, this man is not only a fantastically skilled gymnast, but he knows how to have fun, too! And he instills that spirit of fun in his students, never letting them forget the reason why they're there to begin with!
The amount of skill it takes to intentionally mess up should not be forgotten — every single flop and fall he makes is expertly timed and perfectly pulled off. Paulette makes the perfect "showman," and over the years he's entertained thousands of people from all around the world!
Please SHARE his hilarious tumbling routine if you would love it if more people were willing to laugh at themselves!
