A stray dog in Muğla, Turkey is a hero after doing something incredible to save the lives of her 8 newborn pups. To take shelter from a rainstorm, the stray mother led her babies into a drainage canal, but seawater quickly rose and the animals were about to drown. A quick-thinking local man called firefighters to the scene and the rescue team was able to stop the rising water, but they were unable to grab hold of the tiny puppies because of the drain's narrow opening…
Firefighters whistled for the mother dog, who bravely entered the manhole and saved the newborn pups one by one. Every time she came up with a new pup, everyone cheered! Amazingly, ALL of the babies survived. One onlooker may have said it best: "This is what motherhood is".

On June 7, 2014 Turkish firefighters were called to help the 8 whimpering pups trapped in a drainage canal.
Everyone panicked when they realized the canal was too narrow for someone to safely climb in and save the newborns.
Their mother was waiting patiently nearby and jumped at the chance to help rescue her babies.
One by one she pulled them out, as people cheered her on for motivation!
In less than one hour, the stray mother retrieved all 8 of her puppies. Now, the family lives safely in a shelter and EVERYONE wants to adopt this hero and her pups.
