Mom Of 4 Is In Jail For Home Invasion, Then Sees Daughters Running Toward Her

When people make mistakes and get arrested because of their actions, one of the hardest parts about being put away is rarely getting to see your loved ones.

It’s true that no illegal action is excusable when it comes down to it, but it’s hard not to feel sympathy toward the family and friends who have someone locked away that they truly care about.

At the same time, it’s important to acknowledge that people in prison need to be there to get straight and make a better future for themselves — as these jailmates acknowledge while singing a song about hope.

Regardless of it being a positive in the long run, it must be tough for prisoners with young kids to accept that they’ll be missing out on much of their childhood.

Luckily for Ruby, a mom of four who was sent to a women’s prison in Michigan, she was among 51 other parents in jail that got to see their children for a few hours in December 2016 — outside of the jail’s visiting area.

The special program allows moms to spend time with their sons and daughters this way, hoping to soften the blow of the young ones not growing up with such an important figure in their lives.

Although it’s not easy to see her daughters for several reasons, Ruby was extremely grateful for the program that allowed her to see her kids outside of a jail setting. It gave her and the rest of the families hope for a better tomorrow.
