To make this delectable fall dessert, she first gathered her supplies:
- 10–12 mini decorative pumpkins
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 6 egg yolks
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 vanilla bean, split
- 1 (14-oz.) can of pumpkin puree
She then prepped the mini pumpkins by cutting the top of the pumpkin and removing the insides.
She hollowed each little pumpkin out entirely.
She then coated their interior with the spices, dumping out the excess.
Once that was done, she wrapped the pumpkins in foil and cooked them for 30 minutes at 350 °F.
In a saucepan, she brought the heavy cream, a cinnamon stick, and a vanilla bean to a simmer.
In a separate bowl, she whisked together the egg yolks and sugar.
She then whisked together the heavy cream and the egg yolk.
And of course, she added a scoop of pumpkin puree!
She then added the mixture to the cooked mini pumpkins, filling them up to the top.
She then cooked the pumpkins for 30 minutes, until the insides were set.
Now comes the best part: She added sugar to the top of the pumpkin mixture...
And used a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar!
Look how delicious and golden brown the top of the creme brûlée looks!
