One such story is that of Bella and Mocha, two stray puppies whose lives were transformed by the tireless efforts of Love Furry Friends Rescue. Despite the war, this dedicated rescue channel remains committed to saving abandoned animals, offering them a chance at a better life.
Recently, Love Furry Friends Rescue responded to a social media post about two stray puppies living perilously along a roadway in a small Ukrainian village. The locals, while kind-hearted enough to feed the puppies, did not take them into their homes, leaving the pups to sleep dangerously close to the road.
When the rescue team arrived, they were greeted by two incredibly friendly puppies, who immediately rolled over, asking for belly rubs. The sheer joy and trust these animals exhibited upon seeing their rescuers was heartwarming and heart-wrenching. The team quickly placed the puppies in a dog carrier, eager to bring them to safety and change their lives for the better.
Back at the rescue facility, the first step was to give Bella and Mocha a much-needed bath. This simple act of care was the beginning of their new journey. After being cleaned up, the puppies were taken to the vet for a thorough checkup. Both were found to be females, approximately 5 or 6 months old. During the examination, one puppy was diagnosed with a skin condition called lichen, and treatment was immediately started. Both were treated for worms and fleas and got their vaccinations.
The rescue team named the puppies Bella and Mocha, marking the start of their new identities as beloved pets. Determined to provide them with everything they needed, the team went shopping for collars, leashes, bowls, food, toys, and beds.
