Raccoon Stuck In Tire For Two Days Is Finally Rescued

If you didn't think that animal rescuers were true heroes before, you definitely will after watching this video!

You may have noticed that, here at LittleThings, we are pretty fond of animal rescue workers and all of the wonderful work they do.

These are people who volunteer their time and hard work — like the Hunt Monitors who put themselves at risk to save helpless animals, and organizations like Wildlife Aid that travel all over the U.K. making multiple rescues every week. And each and every time we come across one of their stories, we find ourselves extremely proud of the work that they do.

It's pros like these who are needed when animals are really in danger, much like the critter in this video.

The poor little raccoon in this clip was found two days after becoming stuck in a tire, because no one could figure out where its cries were coming from.

After fighting to get out for so long, the raccoon became weak and exhausted and it was up to professional Nicole Thebeau of Kent County Animal Rescue to save his life.

With a whole lot of corn oil and a very gentle touch, Nicole was finally able to free the raccoon — proving once again that rescuers should be the ones wearing the capes!
