When you hear the term "rag doll," you probably think of Raggedy Ann or one of her friends.
Rag dolls have been around for centuries. They are essentially dolls made from fabric and stuffed with bits and scraps.
When children play with rag dolls, they can toss them around because they practically weigh nothing. The dolls are so small and easy to move around; they're almost the perfect toy.
But rag dolls aren't just for playing anymore — now they're performance art! A new style of dance, or rag doll dancing, has become big, and it's more interesting to watch than I could have ever anticipated.
The man in the video below stands with a woman slumped over his shoulder. If he wasn't on a dance floor, this position would look extremely suspicious.
She begins to move, but her movements are mainly led by her partner, who tosses her around – like she weighs nothing more than a rag doll.
Throughout the entire performance, he uses her body almost as a prop to execute moves I've never seen before in a dance. They work in tandem to create a dance that enraptures the audience.
If you enjoy dance routines that are a bit out of the ordinary, you will find this woman dancing like an eight-legged spider fascinating, if not a little bit creepy!
