Red cabbage slaw is not your standard coleslaw. Made with eye-catching ingredients like buttermilk and brown sugar, this recipe definitely puts a twist on this cookout classic.

Ingredients:
- 1/2 red cabbage, shredded
- 2 large carrots, shredded
- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
- 1 Tbsp. celery salt
- Ground pepper, to taste
Directions:
- Mix cabbage and carrots in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, buttermilk, and lemon juice.
- Stir in brown sugar, dry mustard, and celery salt. Mix until smooth, then season with pepper.
- Pour dressing over cabbage and carrots, then toss until thoroughly coated.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
