I think we can all agree that blackheads aren't fun. The worst part? These blocked little pores on the skin are often pretty hard to get rid of.
If you're one of those people who has tried store-bought nose strips without successful results, it might be time to try a home remedy like one using egg whites.
Below, YouTube beauty sensation Lacy Nicole shows us how to make another special face mask using activated charcoal, which she says has made a "huge" difference on her skin.
And, trust me, you're not the only one thinking, "What? Activated charcoal?!" But it's actually becoming a popular ingredient in beauty products. (Of course, like any product, your skin might react to it differently.)
Activated charcoal, which is known to absorb toxins in the stomach (and even make your teeth whiter!), has a similar effect on the skin.
"When dirt and oil in your pores come in contact with the carbon, they stick to it and then get washed away when you rinse," cosmetic chemist Ni'Kita Wilson told Allure magazine.
Making this mask looks fairly simple: All you'll have to do is mix virgin coconut oil, raw honey, tea tree oil, and one capsule activated charcoal. Then simply apply it on your face. You might want to use a makeup brush like she does to make the process easier.of
