Riding airplanes can be scary, but the landing can sometimes be the most frightening part of all.
You have to remember, though, that the pilot and the copilot have been trained for just about every single scenario that could possibly happen, and that the aircraft is capable of withstanding, and designed to endure, trying conditions.
When this commercial jet approaches the runway, it looks a bit precarious from the ground. I'm sure it didn't feel too great for the passengers on board who are afraid of flying, either.
It almost seems as if the plane is coming in hot to the landing strip, on an angle, and that the wheels might not take the plane the right direction during this seemingly rough landing. Nevertheless, with the help of reverse thrust, the pilot is able to fight the bad weather conditions on this gray day and safely land the plane. It comes to a stop on the runway very quickly with this incredible use of reverse thrust.
I bet there wasn't even a drop of sweat on his or her brow as those wheels touched down and the tire smoke rose up in a dark cloud behind the aircraft.
This just goes to show that even though something may look scary or sound awry on an airplane, everything's under control.
