To put it simply: the musician in the video below is pretty much a genius.
In his latest video, Samuel Orson plays an original song titled "Giraffe" on his acoustic guitar in a very unconventional way.
Sure, I've come across some other unbelievable talent before, including the pianist who even made his dog a fan and the 4-year-old drumming prodigy. But, this guy is seriously one-of-a-kind because of his originality.
The Seattle musician rarely uses the strings in the body of the guitar as you're supposed to. Instead, he tugs at the ones on the guitar's neck. I don't know about you, but I've never seen the instrument played that way before.
While the technique might sound implausible, it actually produces a very melodic and pleasant sound. (Wait til you get to the 1:50 mark!)
Several commenters were just as stunned by Orson's music, including one who wrote, "Fantastic video; light, perspective, objects, just as is the music you're creating! It was refreshing, thank you."
Another viewer chimed in: "Great stuff, thoroughly enjoyed. Hope this gets the attention it deserves."
The song appears on his album Cascadia, which is available via Bandcamp.
