Sandra Bullock Named “World’s Most Beautiful Woman” — But Her Response Will Make Moms Cheer!

Sandra Bullock’s skill and grace alone make her deserving of People magazine’s honor of the "World’s Most Beautiful Woman" in 2015.

The actress is one of those rare talents that can master a dramatic role (2009’s The Blind Side earned her an Academy Award) and also makes audiences laugh uncontrollably with a comedy (Miss Congeniality fans will certainly agree).

But, it’s her response to People’s honor that proves she really embodies what it means to be “beautiful.”

"Real beauty is quiet. Especially in this town, it's just so hard not to say, 'Oh, I need to look like that,'" she said. "No, be a good person, be a good mom, do a good job with the lunch, let someone cut in front of you who looks like they're in a bigger hurry. The people I find most beautiful are the ones who aren't trying."

And, being a “good mom” is Bullock’s top priority. At home, she’s far from a Hollywood star — her son, Louis (adopted in 2010), doesn’t even know her profession. Instead they spend their days on play dates and having “deep” mommy-son discussions, including ones about Louis' girlfriend. Louis also knows how to make his mother feel just as special.

"I was putting him to bed and told him that even when I'm old and gray and more wrinkly than I am now, I'll still love him and want to tuck him in," Bullock said. "And he asked why I have wrinkles, and I said, 'Well, I hope some of them are from laughing so much.' And he touched my face and said, 'You're not old, you're just happy.' "
