There's no doubt about it that celebrities are put under a microscope and even the smallest change can sprout wild accusations. Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland, who plays Haley Dunphy, was fed up with one website claiming she had plastic surgery.
As a fan of the series who has watched it since 2009, I can confirm that the actress looks totally different, but that's because she grew up on the show and ages like everyone else in the world!
Also, Sarah has been open about battling kidney dysplasia all of her life and has revealed she underwent a kidney transplant in 2012. Because of that, she's been on medication that has changed her appearance.
On May 24, 2017, Sarah told fans on Twitter about the effects of the condition. "My circumstances have put me in a place where I'm not in control of what my body looks like," she wrote.
But that hasn't stopped some people from claiming she has altered her appearance. Sarah wanted to put an end to the rumor and fired back at the accusations on her Twitter account.

Sarah Hyland, 26, is best known for portraying Haley Dunphy on the ABC sitcom Modern Family.
On November 1, 2017, she took to Twitter to fire back at a publication that accused her of getting plastic surgery.
She retweeted an article that speculated she'd had surgery.
She wrote: "THIS MAKES ME SO MAD. to have Drs give their opinion ON MY FACE is absolutely ridiculous and degrading. F*ck off."
Like many other actresses, Sarah's appearance has been scrutinized just for the sake of it, and the actress wanted it to end.
Sarah tweeted an additional message saying how insulted she was after reading the article.
"I have had the worst medical year of my life," she wrote. "You have NO IDEA what I have been through."
Sarah has been very honest with fans about her kidney dysplasia and the kidney transplant she went through.
She's been accused of anorexia and plastic surgery on more than one occasion despite expressing the fact she has no control over what she looks like because of her condition.
Proving she didn't take the claims completely to heart, Sarah poked fun at herself and uploaded photos and videos wearing a face mask.
"I would like to say for those who think that I'm like hurt or sad by this article uh-uh," she said in a video. "It's fine."
She then joked that all her plastic surgery paid off.
Sarah has been acting since she was a little girl, which means she's bound to look different year after year.
Her fellow Modern Family costar Sofia Vergara even retweeted her message to show that she supports her!
The publication ended up tweaking the article, but Sarah rightfully wasn't pleased. She thought it'd be better if they just deleted the whole thing.
Sarah's main message to the publication was that her face looks so different because of medications that saved her life.
"MY face has been altered by LIFE SAVING medication," she wrote.
Sarah uploaded another video without any makeup to show that she hasn't had any plastic surgery. She apologized for going off but that "the comedy was there" showing she won't let anything get her down.
