What's inside your purse? Do your friends make fun of you by saying that you're carrying everything but the kitchen sink?
Sometimes my friends comment that I look like a middle-schooler with my enormous backpack, but I feel like I need it. I carry gym clothes, a water bottle, a laptop, laptop charger, phone charger, pens and notepads for just in case, gum, energy bars, Tide pens in case I spill on myself…OK, so maybe I do pack too much.
But imagine if your backpack, suitcase, or purse were able to carry your entire mode of transportation with you too. It seems impossible, I know, but a Hungarian non-profit company has developed a new motorized scooter that folds up into an easily transportable backpack or suitcase.
Imagine being able to get around your town or city on a convenient, eco-friendly scooter. All you have to do is fold it up and carry it with you. Just think of the time and space you could save with an invention like this!
I briefly worked as a real estate agent in New York City. I would get exhausted having to go from house to house, apartment to apartment, client to client. It was hard to drive in the city, and bikes and mopeds were too easily stolen. I would have loved something like this to help me travel more quickly and efficiently.

The scooter weighs approximately 55 pounds and reaches speeds of up to 45 miles per hour.
This eco-friendly scooter runs on a battery that takes less than one hour to charge, though it is not yet suitable for long distances. The current model has a battery life of up to 21 miles.
It takes less than two minutes to fold up and can fit in closets, trunks, and any variety of smaller space.
The prototype was revealed back in 2008. It won numerous accolades and rewards. Time Magazine even included it on its list of the best 50 innovations of the year!
The company spent the next three years improving the model and registering for trademarks and patents. It took until 2013 before the company felt that the product was safe and reliable enough to begin putting it on the market.
Lacking funds, the company used crowdsourcing to raise money to complete their project.
The Moveo went on the market in mid-2014, and it is now available to order through their website.
The invention helps limit the emission of greenhouse gases and helps to alleviate traffic in urban areas.
Of course, folding bicycles have been around for years, but the Moveo is the first for a motorized version that can also be carried as a bag.
Depending on the success of sales for this model, the company hopes to continue to make the scooter faster and lighter.
