We all have items we value. They can be something as expensive as an engagement ring or as priceless as a love letter. What we cherish may vary, but what we all have in common is the fact that, if our beloved belongings were ever stolen from us, we’d be devastated.
That's why it's good to figure out clever ways of hiding things, like using an old pill bottle to hide your keys.
Many people put these precious keepsakes in a safe deposit box, but if you do that, it means you can only access those items by going to the bank.
Others opt for a safe inside their homes. Yet, if your house is broken into, a thief will see a safe and immediately know something of great value is inside. But what if you could have your most treasured items in your home and hidden in a spot that no one would ever find?
The trick below allows you to store and hide things you love in an extremely clever way. It’s so brilliant and easy to do, I’m going to try it out myself this weekend.

All you need is a few materials you can pick up at your local hardware store, like an extra-long electrical gang box.
And you’ll also need a blank wall plate.
Search for a clean area of wall and then use a stud finder to locate an area between the studs.
When you found a spot that works, measure a height that matches the other outlets nearby and add a half an inch.
Line up the mark with the bottom left corner of you gang box and trace around the sides.
Stick an envelope under the markings and grab an electric cutting knife.
Cut the shape of the box out of the wall. You’ll notice when cutting through the sheet rock, dust goes into the envelope, making cleanup just a bit more seamless. Cut carefully with shallow strokes, you don’t want to cut any unknown electrical wires by accident.
Once the hole is cut, slide in your blue box. It should fit perfectly. Screw it into the wall and — ta-da! — you’ve got a super secret safe!
You can load it with all kinds of valuables like stamps.
Or a coveted spare set of keys.
You can also hide your ammo from the curious hands (and mouths) of wandering children.
Once your secret safe is fully loaded, it’s time to hide it.
Place the wall plate over it and screw the plate in.
Now it looks just like any other electrical wall plate.
You can take it one step further and slide a piece of furniture in front of it as well. Now no one knows your secret!
