I have never in my life seen anything as creative, or anything as touching as this.
Her art sounds simple, but it's far from easy to perfect. Kseniya Simonova is a performance artist who specializes in something called "sand animation." In her epic performance on Ukraine's Got Talent, she told a very simple story with a few handfuls of sand that brought the judges – and nearly the entire audience – to tears.
Her message is one about the destructive nature of war on families of soldiers, and though it speaks of the atrocities of WWII, it feels eerily relevant in today.
