Simon Beck is about to take you on an incredible artistic journey. This internationally-acclaimed "snow artist" uses snow as his canvas, and in the video below, he leaves imprints on the mountainous landscape of Banff National Park in Alberta's Canadian Rockies. By stomping miles and leaving carefully planned tracks behind, Simon creates beautiful, gigantic patterns in the snow. His perfectly detailed geometrical designs require nothing but a simple compass, a map drawing, and a pair of snowshoes.
Beck’s #ProjectSnow art series included one huge-scale creation of a beautiful snowflake, his largest-size drawing to date. It took him over six hours to design and stretched nearly 1,500 feet. A howling wolf, playing tribute to the National Park and its wild inhabitants, was created at Lake Louise Ski Resort as well as a detailed maple leaf drawing at Sunshine Village, perfectly symbolizing Beck’s first visit to Canada.
