Ben Blaque is a performer in a class all his own, and Simon Cowell has never reacted to an act quite like his before.
The 36-year-old stuntman recently traveled all the way from Springfield, Missouri to the "Britain's Got Talent" stage to show off one particular set of skills — on his crossbow.
Ben starts by admitting how dangerous his act really is, and assures the audience that what they're about to see is 100% real and unedited. If someone was to get hit with an arrow during his performance, "they'd be having a very bad day," he says.
First, Ben is tasked with shooting his arrows straight into a set of balloons that burst with glitter if and when they're struck. Then, his partner holds the balloons in her mouth, with Ben aiming his crossbow straight at her face!
But the best moment of all happens when Ben calls Simon up to the stage to play the role of assistant in his next shocking act.
Ben says a series of six crossbows is set to trigger one another, and the last one is aimed at the apple placed on his head. Ben stands there, blindfolded, and will shoot with his sense of hearing — and it's Simon's job to ring the bell to alert him.
Wait until you see Simon's face when he realizes what Ben is about to do. Priceless.
