One of the things I realize I took for granted when I was younger was the fact that, back in preschool, we had a designated nap time. I remember that every day at the same time, we were supposed to roll out our mats, the teachers would turn down the lights, and we were supposed to either lay down quietly and read a book or have a quick snooze.
Back then, I despised nap time, because it cut into my play time! But now, I would give anything to have a nap each and every day.
When I do get the opportunity to sleep in a little late or go to bed a little early, I snatch it up immediately. That's why I can totally relate to the napping Fennec Fox in this video.
Just like a human who has been awoken by their alarm in the morning, Penny the fennec fox isn't too keen on being disturbed when she is mid-dream.
But rather than groan and growl like we saw one pooch do, when she is woken up, this adorable little girl makes some of the cutest crying/yawning noises I've ever heard. It's like you can almost hear her saying "just 10 more minutes Mom."
Now I don't know if I want a fennec fox because they are so darn cute, or because they just seem like the perfect snuggle buddies!
