He Cut The Caps Off Soda Bottles And Made What? AMAZING!!

Super savvy adventurer Grant Thompson has given us some of the coolest life hack videos we've ever seen. From starting a fire with gum wrappers and a battery to peeling a kiwi in three seconds, it seems like the "King of Random" always has a quick, clever way to do something that amazes us.

In this video, Thompson is back again with another awesome life hack that two empty soda bottles and turns their caps into tiny, waterproof containers. I couldn't believe how simple this was until I watched the video myself!

In order to make the containers, Thompson takes two empty soda bottles and saws off the caps, just below the flange. He then sands down the cut end a bit to make sure it's smooth. In the version where he makes a container with two compartments, Thompson also traces the cut end of the cap onto a hotel room key card and cuts out the circle before using epoxy to glue it onto the smooth end of the cap. Then he epoxies the other cap right on top of that.

The result? A perfectly waterproofed container with two compartments for storing small items when out camping or on any type of adventure.

Thompson also demonstrates another version that's much easier (and quicker) to make that uses the two caps and hot glue to put them together and make one slightly larger, waterproof container that's perfect for carrying pills. It might not be quite as permanent as using epoxy, but it should hold up fine under normal use.

With all of these items being easy to find around the house, this is one awesome life hack that I'll be trying right away. Tiny, waterproof containers can always come in handy for a variety of reasons. Let us know if you try it as well!
