Soldier Breaks Down During Reunion With His Daughters After Months Apart

Military reunions are usually emotional enough to tug at your heartstrings, especially when young kids are involved.

I mean, who could possibly forget about the 7-year-old cheerleader who broke down when her Navy dad surprised her on the football field after he was gone for months? Same goes for the young girl who broke military protocol and ran across the room to greet her dad while he was still in formation.

Below, Staff Sgt. Jason Flook returned home to Ohio after serving in Kosovo for months and surprised his family in a heartwarming way.

His first stop was to surprise his wife, Danetta, at Ohio University Southern. She was, of course, thrilled to see her husband and jumped in his arms in disbelief. Then, he went to Burlington Elementary to surprise his three daughters. The three sisters embraced their dad, who also broke down in tears.

"I just feel that they've been through a lot with me being gone," Flook told WSAZ as his smiling wife stood by his side. "Obviously, it's emotional for them, as well. It's just another of me trying to show them how much I love them, how much I care for them."
