Everyone remembers the car they grew up with and to many it is more than just a piece of steel that sat in your driveway. Back then, it was the missile that steered you to school, to church, on family vacations and the beast you learned to drive in. The car you grew up in, in some ways, is an extension of your own family and for Larry Benson that car was a sweet 1953 Hudson Hornet.
He and his family spend many summers on road trips from New York to California and back in that beast. At just the mere mention of the Hornet and memories start rushing back behind Larry's eyes, that car was a part of him. His wife and son understood the importance of the Hornet to Larry, who grew up to be quite the car connoisseur, and this summer they decided it was time for Larry to reconnect with his childhood best friend.
Unbeknownst to Larry, his son Aaron began researching Hornet's up for sale in the United States. He finally found one in amazing condition and had it shipped up to his home from Florida. Aaron created an elaborate distraction for his father, telling him a classic car blog wanted to talk to him about his cars and record the interview.
Larry agreed to the interview but ended up getting the surprise of his life!
Please SHARE this amazing surprise and get the tissues ready, you're gonna need 'em!
