Nearly everyone had tears in their eyes as two special needs students from Dunwoody High School were crowned Homecoming Queen and King. The pair, who were nominated by the student body, won by a landslide.
Hannah Keen, who has Down's syndrome, and Gus Ashbury, a student with autism, were in shock after hearing the announcement. Keen clutched a bouquet of red roses, smiling ear-to-ear, and looked out at her classmates. The crowd erupted in cheers and excitement as they accepted their "royal" honor.
This is such a touching story, showing the true spirit of the students. What an amazing story!
