They say yawning is contagious, and as it turns out, so is laughter.
Meir Kalmanson proves this with a video shared on his YouTube channel AMK Productions, which is all about "spreading joy and positivity."
"In this social experiment I play doctor to see if laughter is truly the best medicine," he writes in the video's caption.
In the clip, Kalmanson starts laughing while traveling on the D train in New York City. His laughter leads to a chain reaction as other commuters start cracking up along with him, much like we saw in a video for Coca-Cola's "choose happiness" campaign. While these New York commuters have no idea what caused Kalmanson's laughter, they just can't stop giggling as they watch him in action.
And, unlike those terrifying social experiments (like the one about a lost child), this one will also put a smile on your face. I mean, just wait til you see what one of the female commuters does at the end of the clip. It's pretty adorable, if you ask me!
"This is a great video," one viewer commented. "I didn't realize the power of laughing."
