Stuart Edge is a street performer who makes really fun and feel-good videos that he shares on his YouTube page. This past Labor Day he decided to put on a slightly different performance, centered around someone who needed tips more than he did.
Stuart and some of his musician friends joined together on a street in Salt Lake City and by chance they found Rodney, a homeless man who was down on his luck. When they asked Rodney to join in on their performance, he had NO idea they were going to give 100% of their tips to him… and they had NO idea how badly Rodney needed this help.
Within seconds, a crowd had gathered and people began throwing change into their guitar case… and what a crowd it was! Rodney might have been suspicious that all of these "street musicians" were more like professionals, but if you look at the big smile on his face, you can tell that he was having the best day he's had in a long time and nothing else mattered.
Their performance of "It's Time" by Imagine Dragons, mashed up with a few other hits like "Don't Stop Believing" was so good – and inspiring – it actually gave me chills, but it's what one of the performers says at 4:33 that really touched my heart. Absolutely amazing!
