Customers get a lot more than just coffee when they stop by the Tim Horton's location at McMaster University. When employee Terri Marshall is working, she comes with a positive attitude and tries to brighten everyone's day with her singing and incredible dance moves. In addition, the campus employee also leaves messages for customers on their coffee lids.
Marshall had become quite a celebrity on campus after a video of her dancing in the food court went viral in 2013. Inspiring many students, they decided to give back to their favorite employee.
In the video below, we see Marshall thinking it's just another typical day on the job. But on this occasion, when she's finished her dance break, several students present her with a check for $1,455.26! She's completely shocked and surprised by the generous gift. It turns out that these students had created a GoFundMe page to help raise money for her to go on a well-earned vacation. It’s always amazing to see people rewarded for their hard work and dedication — like this waitress and single mother, who got a $1,200 tip on just a $128 tab!
"Terry is someone who has always been there for Mac students! As students, we have a lot of uphill battles daily be it a bad mark or just the day not going well for us in general. Regardless of what, Terry will always put a smile on your face if you are buying a coffee or even if you just walking by… From writing small but powerful words on the lid of your cup, she brightens your day that much more. Now, its about time we gave back for all the happiness she has spread," one student wrote on the GoFundMe page.
Marshall will be celebrating her 30th wedding anniversary this month and says she'll be using the money to travel with her husband. Where does she plan to go? Watch the video to find out.
