Music and songs have a way of bringing you back to a certain time, making you recall a specific memory, or cause you to reflect on the past. While every one has their own special song or band, there are also songs that exist that just about everyone knows. You may not know the artists, song name or every single lyric, but you can hum along and sing the chorus no matter how long it has been since you last heard it.
A-ha's "Take On Me" is one of those songs that, no matter what decade you were born in or grew up in, just about everyone knows it whether they have heard it on the radio, in a movie, or in one of the many remakes it's gotten on the internet.
Like the remake of Beyoncé's "Pretty Hurts" sung by two sisters, this remake of "Take On Me" from Daniel Koren gives the original song a serious run for its money.
What's incredible about this remake is that it was done completely differently from the original. Giving it a smooth jazz twist, Daniel performs the majority of the song acapella, with each part of the song recorded separately then combined together for the final product.
The video only gets better as it goes on as Daniel incorporates classical instruments and his own snaps and claps to spruce it up, but what I'm really blown away by is the fact that he can hit the highest of the high notes AND the lowest of the low. I love it!
