On July 18, 2024, news broke that Josh Hall had filed for divorce from reality TV star Christina Hall amid filming for their new HGTV series, The Flip Off. During this time, it sounds like there's one person who Christina can definitely lean on: her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa. On July 23, Tarek spoke out about Christina and Josh's split, and shared an update on their upcoming show now that Josh will no longer be a part of it.

While speaking with E! News — along with his wife, Heather El Moussa — the couple said that they "support" Christina during this time.
"I think life’s tough, s— happens. I think she’s gonna get through this. We’re here to support her," Tarek said. "We got one shot at life, we gotta do what’s best for us. Whatever she needs, we’re here to help."
He went on to clarify that there's "no BS" between him and Christina, despite their contentious divorce in 2018.
"We have kids. Our families are close and we help each other," he added.
At the time of the divorce filing, Josh was in the early stages of filming The Flip Off with his estranged wife. The show was meant to pit him and Christina against Tarek and Heather in a house flipping competition, but in light of their split, Heather said that now, the show will be her and Tarek against Christina.
However, that dynamic could change. She added of her and Christina's relationship: "We do like to gang up on him."

News of Christina and Josh's divorce broke on July 15. According to legal documents obtained by Us Weekly, Josh is seeking spousal support and an equal division of community property they acquired during their marriage. But Christina is requesting that neither of them be required to pay spousal support, and she's asking to have her maiden name, Haack, restored in the process.
So far, their split seems to be off to a rocky start. Entertainment Tonight is reporting that in Christina's filing, she claimed Josh transferred $35,000 of her property rental income into his own account "the day after I told him we are getting divorced."
Christina is asking the court to require Josh to return the money to her, and stated that she is "having a full forensic accounting performed for the entire term of our marriage."
"Like all hard-working mothers, my life revolves around my children and my work," she said in the filing. "It is my understanding that Josh has his own income and therefore he should not need any spousal support from me. He has sufficient assets of his own to pay his own attorney's fees and costs."
