Now that 2014 is over, how will you remember it?
Was it a year full of family, happiness, and accomplishment? Well, if you were a scientist in 2014, it was definitely a year full of accomplishment!
This amazing video shows some of the mind-boggling inventions that saw the light of day last year, and if you've been alive as long as I have, you'll find some of these achievements are so reminiscent of science fiction that they're hard to believe!
For instance, did you know that 2014 was the year that hover-boards actually became a reality? Or that it brought us a machine that's able to take a dead heart (removed from a cadaver) and make it start working again? The first ever gorilla C-section happened in 2014, as did the now famous NASA comet landing. And these aren't even scratching the surface!
Take a moment to watch this video and revel in the truly awesome achievements of 2014. One can only imagine what's going to happen this year!
