Kim has a rare brain tumor, but it didn't stop her from attending an evening event held by her friends. There would be music, food and dancing — but the night would be missing the one thing Kim missed the most. You see, Kim's only child is Tyler, and Tyler is a Marine deployed in Afghanistan.
As the MC of the night begins to give a shout-out to Kim, he notes that her only dying wish is to dance with Tyler. What came next was a complete surprise to everyone in the room.
The moment the MC gets on the mic and announces, "From Afghanistan, courtesy of the United States Marine Corps, Tyler," I couldn't believe my eyes. Then cue Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man" and I couldn't hold back the tears. I'm so happy Kim and Tyler were able to share this moment together. God bless them!
