Abandoned by her mother at birth, this baby otter pup had very little chance of survival in the wild. Alone, hungry and tired, the pup cried for its mom.
The otter, named "Pup 681," only weighed about two pounds when she was found by a person walking along California's Coastways Beach, who heard the baby's cries. Soon after, the baby otter was rescued and transported to Monterey Bay Aquarium where she has been receiving around the clock care.
Today, the tiny sea otter is healthy and hitting new milestones every day. And did we mention that she's adorable? You can follow her progress and learn more here.
