Do you believe in miracles?
Every day, we hear heartbreaking stories online and on TV, but this next story contains nothing but good news… and it has me believing anything is possible!
When Trevor Frolek was born in August, 2014, his feet were so small that his dad, Bo Frolek's, wedding ring could fit around one of them. This sweet baby boy did not have a good start to life, but somehow he survived the unthinkable and is finally on the road to a "normal" life.
Trevor was born extremely premature at a shocking 23-weeks, weighing only 1 pound, 6 oz. Things did not look good for the small, underdeveloped baby, as he was immediately put on life support and had to go through intense surgeries on his tiny heart and eyes. Bo told Fox News "The doctor told us it was going to be a roller coaster ride. We were going to have our good days and we’re going to have our bad days.”
Luckily, baby Trevor had a team of dedicated medical professionals fighting to keep him alive and family who prayed for him every day. On Friday, July 24, 2015, Trevor spent his 345th day in the hospital. It was also his last.
Trevor's parents were able to bring him home for the first time in almost a year and the team of nurses and doctors who cared for him gave the little boy a farewell celebration. Every doctor and medical book predicted that Trevor wouldn't make it. "It's just a complete miracle. The doctors and nurses have worked so hard to get him to this point. It's beyond amazing," mom Becky told TODAY.
Now this micropreemie is safe at home with his big sister, mom and dad. You'll never see a bigger (little) fighter than this guy!

The micropreemie newborn was born at only 1 lb., 6 oz. He was so tiny that his dad Bo Frolek could fit his wedding ring around his foot.

Doctors and medical textbooks warned that there was no way Trevor could survive. Yet, he was strong enough to undergo intense surgeries on his heart and eyes at just a few weeks old.

After almost one year in the hospital, on July 24, 2015, a miracle happened. Doctors said Trevor had beat the odds and was finally healthy enough to go home with his family.

Mom Becky wrote on Facebook: "Thank you everyone for your well wishes, thoughts and prayers and words of encouragement. Indeed it has been quite a journey. We are very happy to have Trevor home. Although we love the NICU team, we enjoy not having to go th
