56-Year-Old Surrogate Stuns By Giving Birth To Triplet Girls

During her first marriage, 36-year-old Kim Coseno gave birth to a son and daughter. But when she remarried Joe, he wanted to have kids, too. The only issue was, Kim was no longer able to conceive.

They even tried to adopt, but when that fell through, Jaci Dalenberg — Kim's mother — thought about it for a year, and in 2008, volunteered to be a surrogate.

Jaci just couldn't bear to see her daughter struggle anymore.

"I was shocked," Kim said when her mom stepped up. "I didn't even know if it was possible, but it opened up and started just like a little glimmer of hope that it could happen."

It sounds completely unheard of, but in 2012, Emily Jordan's 53-year-old mother carried her children for her. They say mothers and daughters have a special bond, and I think these two families prove that.

The couple transferred their eggs into Jaci, and at 56 years old, she became pregnant.

Jaci became a mother and a grandmother on the same day. What already seemed like a miracle pregnancy became even more remarkable: Jaci gave birth to triplets Elizabeth, Carmina, and Gabriella — healthy, gorgeous little girls.
