71-Year-Old Turkish Grandma Claims Her Secret To Looking Young Is Eating Kebabs

Getting older is a part of life that most of us have come to accept. Still, that doesn't stop anyone from doing what they can to age as gracefully as possible.

There are plenty of subtle signs that indicate you're aging well, maybe even better than your peers.

That being said, there is no better sign than physically looking younger.

One woman who looks decades younger than her actual age of 71 is Ajda Pekkan, a Turkish pop star.

Ajda may be a grandmother, but you would barely think she's old enough to have children of her own by looking at her.

Of course, we're all wondering: what's her secret? The Sun reports that Ajda thinks the source of her youthful appearance isn't a potion or cream, but rather a popular food item: kebabs!

That's right, Ajda claims the meaty fast food we're used to grabbing on the go is the key to eternal youth.

With an appearance like this, it's hard to imagine that Ajda is in her early 70s.

I think we all know people in their 20s who don't even look this good.

It's so hard to believe that this woman is actually 71, and that she claims a popular street food as her fountain of youth.

Ajda credits her healthy diet for the maintenance of her youthful appearance.

According to The Sun, she explains: "I can't say I limit my choice in food. I like kebab and fish."

Kebabs come in all shapes and sizes, but Istanbul On Food explains that in general:

Kebab refers to any dish of meat, fish or vegetables, which are grilled on a skewer or roasted using a rotisserie. In Turkey, the word kebap extends to include any of these dishes that are cooked over, or next to, a flame.

Kebabs in their many varieties are standard Turkish fare, and make for a pretty well-balanced and delicious meal.

Ajda has been in the spotlight since the 1970s, when she began her acting and singing career.

In Turkey, she became known simply as "Superstar" after competing in the 1980 Eurovision song contest.

Of course, it can't just be the kebabs keeping Ajda in amazing shape.

According to The Sun, she also drinks plenty of water, and stays active by walking and working out regularly.

In addition to all of the daily habits that keep her looking young, she also goes to Swiss anti-aging spas and admits having had a breast augmentation.

Even if she has had a little help, you have to admit that she looks incredible for her age.

Ajda also admits that genetics play a role in her appearance.

No matter how well we take care of ourselves, genetics are often the determining factor that we have no control over.

Amazingly, Ajda is even said to be thinking about having a baby at her age, according to The Sun.

Of course, 71 is too old to have a baby for most people, but who knows what this incredible woman and her body are capable of achieving.
