How do you make a city beautiful?
You keep it clean, first of all. You show the city the respect it deserves by throwing trash away and maintaining basic upkeep of the infrastructure. After that comes adding color to the city. Some cities like to use flowers, while others, like Miami, like to paint buildings with lovely pastel colors.
Some places have found a new, whimsical way to add color to their streets: umbrellas.
When you hang umbrellas over pedestrian walkaways, it creates a magical ceiling of color overhead. It automatically puts you in a good mood and brightens your day.
