Recently released bodycam footage shows the moment when Utah officers were fired at by a 4-year-old boy from a nearby car. Officers were arresting the boy's father for threatening a worker at a fast-food restaurant when the gunfire erupted.
The boy's father was later convicted of child abuse and assault, and he also ended up admitting that his 4-year-old has had access to his gun before. It's unclear how the little boy ended up with the gun.
Luckily, no one was hurt. Once officers realized their assailant was a child, they began to talk to the little boy to make sure he was doing OK. The little boy was reportedly in the back seat of the car with a 3-year-old.
