Viral Homeless Man Performs National Anthem At NFL Game

Three months after going viral for his unexpected piano skills, the former homeless man named Donald Gould was given the opportunity of a lifetime.

The Florida native played the National Anthem on the piano right before the San Francisco 49ers took on the Minnesota Vikings at the Levi's Stadium in San Francisco on Monday.

Although he said he was nervous before the performance, Gould nailed the song and received a warm applause from the audience.

He also looked dapper in dress pants, a red shirt, and tie thanks to the incredible makeover he underwent with the help of Inside Edition in July. He's pretty much unrecognizable in comparison to the way he looked in the the viral video that shows him playing piano on the street in Sarasota, FL. His talent, however, remains just as impressive.

The moment was monumental for the former Marine, who told Inside Edition, “Not in my wildest dreams would I have ever imagined a moment like this happening." And his big smile at the 1:20 mark proves just how much the opportunity meant to him.

Gould's story has touched hearts all over the nation and has been an inspiration for many.

“I think it’s awesome, I can’t believe his journey," his friend, Paige Giasson, told Florida's WFLA. "Cuz all that beautiful music was inside of this poor little man that everybody walked by and never gave a second thought about, and now look at him. It’s amazing.”
