Vogue Magazine Features Its First 100-Year-Old Model

The typical age of a fashion model is 16-25. Not only is the model you're about to meet four times that age, but she's also the star of British Vogue's biggest issue ever.

To celebrate British Vogue’s 100th birthday, lifestyle brand Harvey Nichols launched a campaign starring Bo Gilbert, the first 100-year-old model to appear in the magazine. As you'll see, Bo is the perfect candidate despite her age. She is sophisticated, fashionable and feminine. She has always admired Audrey Hepburn, and to this day her closet is packed with classic pieces. "I loved wearing nice things," she says. "It's always appealed to me, and it still does."

This exclusive film goes behind-the-scenes at Bo’s photoshoot with renowned fashion photographer Phil Poynter, which will appear in British Vogue's 100th Anniversary issue — its biggest issue ever. In the end, the photographer shows Bo her finished photo, and her expression is priceless. She's astonished by how model-esque she looks, but at the same time she shouldn't be all that surprised; she is absolutely beautiful on camera and off.
