Dotan Negrin pushes 400 pounds of piano through the wilderness, streets, beaches, suburbs and cities. The reason? To spread joy.
The 24-year-old quit his job as a mover to live in complete homelessness. He has travelled to 21 countries living by the kindness of strangers and their donations.
"I get to play piano in this amazing setting," he said of his current stop in New York's Catskill Park. "It's like this beautiful auditorium."
He's travelled from the Redwood Forest to the Gulf Stream of Key West. It's not a glamorous life, but it is one well-lived.
There's nothing like kindness for kindness' sake, another group called The Liberators proves when they perform songs in public paces just to cheer people up.
The most he's gotten from a stranger is 100 French Euro. Dotan hasn't broken even, but what he's earned in life experience is so much more.
"I wanted to wake up every morning excited to see what would happen next," he said. "That way, like, when I'm on my death bed I can look back and be like, yea, I did this awesome thing when I was 24."
