You may not have heard of indie jazz and soul band Lake Street Dive just yet, but I guarantee after this song, you are definitely not going to forget them…
The 4-person band started in 2004 when the quartet met at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Since then, they have been performing whenever they get the chance, be it at a large scale music festival, intimate jazz club, or street corner.
In this video, the leader singer, Rachael Price, absolutely crushes one of the group's original songs. The song, titled "What Am I Doing Here?" is so refreshingly different, yet so nostalgic at the same time. Her amazing voice is guaranteed to leave the sweet-but-haunting tune embedded in your memory.
