When Jocelyn's husband, Mike, made his way home, she decided to ditch the fancy sign and go for something a little simpler. However, it still ended up standing out more than the elaborate signs.
When I was in elementary school, I meant business when it came to creating fancy posters for science projects. There was no shortage of glitter glue and bubble letters… and if I could have attached lights to the poster board, I would have. So I would definitely be the type of wife who would spend hours designing an eye-catching "welcome home" sign.
Jocelyn, on the other hand, shared the hilarious contrast between hers and the other wives' signs on Reddit. Strangers were instantly in stitches over the photo.

Jocelyn, like many military wives, was excited to welcome her husband home from deployment.
Mike's first deployment kept him away from Jocelyn and their son for 296 days.
One tradition many military families partake in is creating "welcome home" signs. Jocelyn, though, wasn't feeling like making a crazy sign.
While her two friends created much bolder signs, Jocelyn simply grabbed a piece of scrap paper and wrote, "Oh, hey!"
She then posted the photo online, and people everywhere are getting a kick out of it.
Jocelyn shared the photo on Reddit, where it quickly hit the front page.
Mike was one of those people who loved his wife's sign, even if it wasn't glittery and bright.
"My husband loved it," she wrote on Reddit. "He said he saw it when he was walking out of the terminal and one of the other soldiers said, 'Oh, you guys got signs,' and my husband said, 'Yeah… I think mine says ‘oh hey.' He thought it was hilarious."
Commenters were quick to tell Jocelyn how great her sign was, even though it wasn't as fancy as the others.
One user wrote: "But you know the middle one is cute and funny mostly because of how it is in contrast to the other two right? This whole thing is a package of three friends doing something cute."
Of course, the only thing that really matters is that Mike liked the sign. I think even if she had no sign, he'd be perfectly OK with it!
Jocelyn wrote on Reddit that Mike got "a good laugh" out of her simple sign welcoming him home.
Jocelyn admitted on Reddit that she's never been one to make signs for Mike.
"I don’t really make signs that often," she wrote.
Jocelyn was more concerned about hugging and kissing her military husband rather than making a sign.
"This was actually the first deployment for my husband but I really couldn’t be bothered with a fancy sign when all I wanted to do was hug him," she wrote on Reddit.
