A young female was seen running outside a gas station convenience store in Salt Lake City, Utah. Security cameras captured the chilling scene.
First, she went around asking bystanders for help, seemingly in a panic. At one point, she tried to hide underneath someone's truck.
Surveillance cameras captured a young man entering the frame, hoisting her over his shoulder, and driving off with her in a car. She resisted the entire way, kicking and screaming for help.
Since the victim had such a small frame and left a child-sized shoe behind in the parking lot, police assumed she was a teenager. An Amber Alert was issued immediately.
Thankfully, authorities were able to identify the male suspect after matching his tattoos in their database.
When they tracked down his car, they found the female victim inside. Rather than saving someone they thought was a teenager, police discovered she was actually a 30-something woman who had reportedly been in a relationship with the suspect.
