Wisconsin Woman, 37, Accused Of Killing Her Friend With Eye Drops

In 2018, Jessy Kurczewski called 911 in a panic. She said her female friend was unconscious inside her home. Police in Wisconsin arrived to find the woman lifeless with crushed pills scattered all over her chest.

According to The Washington Post, Kurczewski, 37, claimed to be her friend's caregiver and said she had power of attorney because her friend had been exhibiting suicidal thoughts and behavior.

At first, police believed that suicide could be the cause of the woman's death — until her toxicology report came back in January 2019.

Medical examiners found a fatal amount of tetrahydrozoline in her bloodstream.

Police reopened the case and came to believe that it was Kurczewski who killed her friend with a very unusual murder weapon — because tetrahydrozoline is the main ingredient found in eye drops.
