Goodbyes are always emotional. But they’re just plain tear-jerking when the person you’re saying goodbye to is the one who saved your life.
In 2012, Dr. Jane Goodall’s Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation center found Wounda (her name means “close to death”) in the Republic of Congo, and nursed her back to life. Now they’ve released her back into the wild. Wounda gets a second chance at life, and we get to see one of the most tender, warm goodbyes of all time. Try not to tear up at the 2:52 mark, and then please SHARE this beautiful moment with your friends.
