This Fake “Zombie” Trailer Has The Best Twist Ever

A new parody ad campaign hit the web recently in all of its pre-Halloween zombie glory. But this one has a twist: Its purpose is to raise awareness about STD testing.

The hilarious PSA is a video produced by Get Checked Omaha, a new campaign aimed at raising awareness about sexual health after a report found that Omaha's STD rates are at an all-time high. Its message, however, is universal.

ABC News syndicate KETV Omaha reported earlier this year that the The Douglas County Health Department found sexually transmitted diseases in the Douglas County area were significantly higher than the national average. That meant two things: STDs in the area were at a much higher rate than previously anticipated, but that a new free testing program offered by The South Omaha Public Library meant more people were being tested than during the previous year — the first step for ensuring the health of sexually active adults.

When talking to young people about sexual health, they discovered a staggering trend. "What we found was that they lack sufficient knowledge about STDs," Chris Rodgers, a member of the Douglas County Board of Health, told KETV Omaha. "They're engaging in risky sexual behavior."

"Omaha is famous for steaks, college baseball, and well…one of the highest rates of sexually transmitted diseases in the nation," they write in the video's description. "We should probably do something about that."
