In a heartwarming tale of compassion and friendship, a lonely and abandoned puppy found solace in the company of kind strangers who opened their hearts and home to him.
Stoyan and Dessy are a couple from Bulgaria. They are not part of an organization or a shelter, but in Bulgaria, people tend to abandon dogs and cats, so they try desperately to help as many as they can.
They have four cats that they rescued from the streets. Two of the cats live with them and the other two live with Dessy’s mom, who has been helping stray animals for 10 years. Their dream is to build a shelter with Dessy’s mom so they can continue to help as many stray animals as they can.
With their love for animals and their passion for stray animals on the street, it was hard for Stoyan and Dessy to ignore the precious puppy who was desperate to get their attention.
While the couple was waiting outside of the grocery store, the little puppy came up to them and they could tell by his appearance that he was abandoned. They left him a few sausages to eat and started to walk home, but he followed them.
Even though it was a far walk from where they were, the puppy followed Stoyan and Dessy all the way home. Once they got there, he was hesitant to go inside. The poor baby wasn’t used to being let in and being welcomed.

Once they got him inside, they gave him some food and prepared a bath for him. After his bath, they got him all cozy in a warm towel and dried him off in front of a heater. His eyes got very heavy, and his little body finally looked relaxed and comfortable. So comfortable he almost fell asleep sitting up.
At the end of their video, the Stoyan captioned: “He may not be a special breed, but he deserves to be loved and he deserves a home. They all carry souls just like us and I will never understand how can people abandon them. Adopt. Save a life.”
