Even animal rescue experts can get stumped when it comes to saving animals that are in danger.
The Wildlife Aid team got a call about a group of ducklings that had been whisked away from their mama by water and trapped in a storm drain.
When they arrived on the scene, the found out that it wasn't going to be a quick rescue. They couldn't find a way into the drain! It was sealed off, locked, and had bars blocking them from saving the babies.
But one vet, Dr. Maru, was able to wiggle her way past the bars and slip inside the storm drain to rescue the ducklings that are trapped in a hole.
When the camera first shows where the ducklings had managed to get stuck, I couldn't even make out how many there were! But the vet quickly identifies all five ducklings, seemingly in good condition.
Using a shoe, she is able to scoop up the scared little ducks and bring them to safety. After 3 trips in and out of the hole, she manages to rescue all five of them!
After checking on the ducklings to make sure they're not injured, Wildlife Aid brings them back to their mother so they can get back to their normal lives!
