The Chicago Fire Department knew they needed to show this clip to the world — and now it has people thinking it's just too crazy to be real.
The crew was tending to a fire that broke out inside an office building. While filming the smoke billowing out of the interior, they captured the surreal moment a black cat appeared at one of the open windows.
People on the street gasped in shock when the cat took a major risk by taking a major leap out of the window — five stories above the ground.
Horror and worry quickly turned to amazement when the onlookers saw the cat land on its feet, then casually walk off like it was just another normal day.
Thank goodness no one was injured in the fire … and that this lucky feline lived to see another life.
