Woman Sees Clam Burst Out Of Its Shell, Then Starts Filming When It Starts To Move

When we think of clams, we generally think of the delicious delicacy that we sometimes order at fancy seaside restaurants.

Of course, we're well aware they're sea creatures that eat and breathe like we do. Yet we rarely see them move. The hard outer shell conceals the creature underneath so well that we don't even know what it really looks like.

But a woman named Kate Taylor managed to capture a clam's movement on camera, and the footage is quite eye-opening. I've never seen a clam like this before. Chances are, you haven't either.

In the clip, the clam looks a little strange, because the animal is already partially out of its shell. But seconds later, it starts moving, and sticks out of the other side of its shell, too! You may be surprised by just how large the clam really is — I know I was.

Then, the clam starts digging a hole in the sand to bury itself. And if you watch closely, you'll catch the creature squirt water out of one of its ends!

Now watch this fascinating clip to see a clam like never before. If you see one in person, you'll probably stop to see it move with your own eyes!
